Telnet is a network communication protocol used to remotely access and manage devices such as servers, computers, routers, switches, and firewalls over a network. It provides a command-line interface (CLI) for communication between a client and a remote device. However, Telnet is not secure because it transmits data, including usernames and passwords, in plain text. Today, SSH (Secure Shell) is preferred as a secure alternative.
टेलनेट (Telnet) एक नेटवर्क संचार प्रोटोकॉल (Network Communication Protocol) है, जिसका उपयोग नेटवर्क पर मौजूद सर्वर, कंप्यूटर, राउटर, स्विच और फ़ायरवॉल जैसे उपकरणों को दूरस्थ रूप से (Remote) एक्सेस और प्रबंधित करने के लिए किया जाता है। यह पूरी तरह कमांड-लाइन इंटरफ़ेस (CLI) पर आधारित होता है। हालांकि, Telnet सुरक्षित नहीं है क्योंकि यह उपयोगकर्ता नाम और पासवर्ड सहित डेटा को Plain Text में भेजता है। इसलिए आजकल SSH (Secure Shell) का अधिक उपयोग किया जाता है।
